Ingredients:

eggs
1
cup sugar
1½
tsp vanilla
1¼
cups flour sifted
½
cup milk
1
tbsp butter
Method:
·
Scaled milk and butter together making sure to not boil
·
Beat eggs in a bowl to a ribbon state (about 4 minutes)
·
Add sugar and vanilla and beat well
·
Sift and fold in flour but do not over mix or your cake will be tough and
not fluffy
·
Stir in milk and butter mix
·
Pour onto a lined baking sheet and bake at 400f until the cake is set
·
Remove from oven and let cool covered with a damp towel
·
Once cooled brush simple syrup on the cake to moisten and spread your
favorite jam, marmalade or cream filling over the cake and roll
