Biscuits Precieux



Ingredients:

½ cup butter
¼ cup sugar
1 egg yolk reserve white
2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup flour
1 cup almonds chopped

Method:

·    In a large mixing bowl cream together sugar and butter
·    Add beaten egg yolk and lemon juice and mix well together
·    Whisk in flour to form a dough
·    Roll out 1” balls in diameter and set aside
·    Lightly whisk egg whites and dip the dough balls to coat
·    Roll in the finly chopped nuts and place on a lined cookie tray
·    Cut a notch deep enough in the center of each cookie
·    Bake at 375f for 5 minutes
·    Remake the notch and cook further for 10 to 12 minutes
·    Cool slightly and fill the notch with your favorite jelly or jam
