Ingredients:

cup soft margarine

cup brown sugar firmly packed

eggs beaten

tsp vanilla extract

tsp vinegar

tsp baking soda

tsp cinnamon

tsp salt

1/3 cup flour
1½
cups quick rolled oats
thick
jam or marmalade
Method:

In a mixing bowl cream together margarine, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and
vanilla
·
Sift together baking soda, cinnamon, salt, flour and rolled oats, then
stir into the creamed mixture
·
On a lined baking sheet drop batter into 1¼ inch mounds leaving 1½ inches
around for expansion
·
Depress the center with your thumb (to prevent the batter sticking to
your thumb, wet it first with cold water) and fill with the thick jam or
marmalade
·
Bake at 350f for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown
